“It was a good event, and I really enjoyed the race. I’m looking forward to improving the kilometers covered in the next edition,” said Mumbi.
Bucketlist Adventures Director and founder of Dusk 2 Dawn - 12 Hour Night Run Challenge Munyaka Njiru said they are planning to make the festival a quarterly event.
“The turnout was good and we are now planning to make it a quarterly event. We host it at Parklands because our partner Parklands Sports Club is close to where people live and the uptake is good. Parklands Sports Club is also a hub for growth of talents led by the General Manager Lorna Kiema. She is big on supporting the community,” said Njiru.
“The number of women participants was surprisingly high. This is in true spirit of the International women’s day celebrations that took place yesterday and it proves the point that we are creating a safe space for them to exercise.”
Bucketlist Adventures Key Accounts and Project Manager Moreen Njoki said: “This run involves pushing yourself for the longest distance around the track. You are allowed to stop, relax and get back on track. you still have a 12-hour gap to cover whatever distance you want.”
