Bhang estimated at 1.5 million seized in Mlolongo

Police officers at Mlolongo town yesterday intercepted rolls of bhang estimated at a street value of 1.5million shillings and arrested a suspected male trafficker on transit from Homa bay to Mombasa. Acting on a tip off from members of public, police ambushed two suspects in a hotel in Mlolongo in the morning hours and managed to impound the contraband rolls stashed into suitcases and large female handbags. The second female suspect managed to escape. Athi river deputy county commissioner Kodhek Makori said the suspect has been on police radar for some time. The suspect is being held at Mlolongo police station awaiting to be arraigned in court.
