The team of top seeds Casimir Gross, Raph Nzomo, Simon Muchene and Abba Heffron fought hammer and tongs from a mixed start where they won and lost a match in the round-robin matches before getting to the knockout stage.
Casimir and Nzomo were brilliant in the three-day competition as Muchene and Haffron manned their rearguard.
In the final, Redigo Deter defeated Prosaro team of Jose Craig, Tarquin Gross, Lochy Murray and Sacha Gross by a single goal difference to scoop the title.
Their defeat in the final was the only loss Prosaro suffered in the tournament after winning all their preliminary matches on their way to the final.
For Redigo Deter, the victory was credit to them for starting the season on a high note ahead of the second tournament this weekend at the Northern Kenya Polo Club (NKPC).

In their penultimate match, Prosaro narrowly picked a 6.5-5 win over Skyway Pro squad of Archie Voorspuy, Will Millar, Hiromi Nzomo and Mike Mwirigi.
In the match, Jose Craig scored a hat-trick, Locky Murray a double and Tarquin Gross one for Prosaro with Skyway Pro returning the favour through Archie Voorspuy (five) and Will Millar one.
And on their part, Redigo Deter walloped Infinito 5-3.5, thanks to Casimir and Nzomo (Raph) who scored four and one goals respectively in the two chukka matches.
Earlier, Redigo Deter had secured a 5-2.5 win over Cossack team of Craig MIllar, Geoff Morley, Harry Griffiths and Isaac Maina.
Redigo Deter scored all their goals through Casimir (Gross) who had a good day in the office while Craig (Millar) and Maina replied for the losers after starting the match at advantage of half fraction of a goal from their low handicap.
"A good season has just started, and we must move on in the same style we started," said Casimir.
