Mystery as man found dead in Nairobi lodging

NAIROBI, KENYA: A 60-year old man was found dead in a lodging along River Road, Nairobi.
Police say they are yet to know the cause of the death. The man had booked the room on Saturday night until the following day when he was discovered dead. The body was moved to the mortuary.
Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome said they would investigate the cause of the death.
"A postmortem will be conducted to establish the cause of the death. We want to know how and why he died," said Koome.
In Embakasi area, a man was electrocuted in an incident. Police say the victim was walking in an open path when he stepped on a live wire killing him instantly. Such incidents are common in informal settlement areas and officials blame it on illegal connections.
And a man was lynched in a botched robbery in Mathare slums. Police discourage against mob lynching and want those arrested be surrendered to authorities for further action.
