Harambee Starlets star Aquino joins Tanzanian giants Simba

Tanzanian giants Simba Queens on Wednesday confirmed the signing of Harambee Starlets star midfielder Vivian Corazone Aquino.

Aquino joins Simba FKF Women’s Premier League side Gaspo FC.

The club confirmed the capture of the Kenyan international, noting that she joins on a two-year deal that will see her at the club until 2024.

She becomes the second signing for Simba ahead of the 2022/23 season. She will join attacker Zainab Mohamed.

Aquino will be the second Kenyan player to play for Simba after Harambee Starlets forward Bertha Omitta.

"Simba Queens has completed the signing of defensive midfielder Vivian Corazone Aquino from Gaspo FC Kenya. She becomes our second signing ahead of the 2022/23 league season after Zainab Mohamed," Simba wrote on their social media pages.

Aquino captained Gaspo Women to a third place finish with 40 points in the just ended 2021-2022 season that Vihiga Queens won.

The Kenyan international has previously feature for Swedish outfit FC Rosengard (2018) and Portuguese side Atletico Ouriense (2020).
