Gekano, Ekenyoro dominate Nyamira County Games

Ekenyoro Mixed and St Paul's Gekano Boys booked their places in next week's Lake Region Secondary School Term Two games that will be held in Homabay County.

Ekenyoro claimed both the both boys and girls' basketball championships in Nyamira County, while Gekano lifted handball, volleyball and rugby sevens regional titles.

Ekenyoro Boys stunned St Kizito Nyansiongo Boys 60-43 in a thrilling basketball final Friday.

In the preliminaries, Ekenyoro Boys thrashed Machururiati 50-16 after before trouncing St Paul's Omonayo from Nyamira North 41-17.

In the girls' category, St Theresa's Gekano girls from Manga sub county fell 14-8 to their Ekenyoro counterparts.

In girls' volleyball match, Motagara won 3-1 against Geta (25-21, 17-25, 25-19, 25-15) as Gekano walked away claimed the men's title.
