More than 80 golfers are expected to take to the course at Kiambu Golf Club this weekend for the Lady Captain's Prize.

The Chase Bank and Vivo Energy-sponsored event will mark the end of Grace Githere's tenure as the Lady Captain of the club.

Githere's tenure has been one of the busiest in recent times, attracting top golf tournaments. Top on the list were the ICDC-sponsored Kiambu Ladies Open, The Inter Club Golf Tournament, Kiambu Ladies Championship and CIC Insurance sponsored Craig Bowl.

The club also hosted the Kenya Ladies Golf Union EGM that brought together more than 100 top lady golfers from across the country.

"I would like to thank the Directors of Kiambu Golf Club, officials from Kenya Ladies Golf Union and also all lady golfers in Kenya for helping me and being part of Kiambu Golf Club's rejuvenation," said Grace Githere.

During the tourney, the newly elected chairman of the Kenya Ladies Golf Union (KLGU) Mary Wambugu will be unveiled.
She took over from Joyce Wafula after beating Sarah Hoare at the polls held at Vet Lab on October 11.
