Kenyan teams recorded impressive results after winning respective matches.

Maseno registered morale boosting 59-0 victory over Lycee Kayanza of Burundi in a one-sided match to bag maximum points.

Warren Nyanjiru touched down just after five minutes and Albert Obura converted to hand Maseno 7-0 lead.

Maseno extended the lead when Nathan Ayieko landed near the post in the seventh minute before Brian Alukwa contributed one more try for the Kenyans to lead 17-0 at half time.

Other try scorers for Maseno in the second half were George Orembo, Nyanjiru, Albert Obura (two) Churchill Ouko and Quinto Odhiambo.

Kakamega sent LTP, also from Burundi, packing after they beat them 30-0 in the other rugby match.

Champions Hana Mixed of Uganda suffered an upset after they lost 6-3 against Isetar of Rwanda in a tightly contested encounter, while Mamilyango outclassed ST Mary’s Kisubi 20-3 in a Ugandan derby.
