Nelson Oyoo scored a brace to inspire Kenya Sevens to a 24-7 comeback win over rivals Uganda in the ="https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/sports/rugby/2001412337/shujaa-thrash-stellenbosch-academy-at-rugby-africa-7s">Rugby Africa Solidarity Sevens< match played at Markötter Stadium in Stellenbosch on Sunday afternoon.

Kenya responded before the break with Oyoo touching down the right corner post after a beautiful offload from Billy Odhiambo but Uganda took a 7-5 after Tony Omondi missed the extras.

In the closing half, Kenya started imposing their dominance after Oyoo sold a pair of wheels through the middle of the Ugandan defense to score at the center as Kenya took a narrow 12-7 lead after Omondi’s conversion.

Alvin Otieno stretched the scores to 17-7 with another corner post try from the left wing before Daniel Taabu dummied his way to the try line to seal a comfortable 24-7 win over Uganda.

Earlier on, Kenya thrashed Stellenbosch Academy of Sport 26-0 in a one-sided match.

Jeffrey Oluoch, Alvin Otieno, Derrick Keyoga and Vincent Onyala’s tries were enough to hand Kenya their third win at the tourney used as part of the Tokyo Olympics Preparations.
