Five killed in grisly road accident

Five people have died and scores injured following a road accident at the Mlango Tatu area on the Nakuru- Eldoret highway on Thursday morning.

According to police, the accident involving four vehicles including a Mitsubishi bus, a Toyota Probox, and others occurred minutes after 1.00 am.

"Several passengers have been rushed to Eldama Ravine Sub-county Hospital for treatment but two more unknown passengers have succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment," police said.

The road was already cleared at the time of publication while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the Eldama Ravine Sub-county Hospital Morgue.
