Three dead, scores injured in Kamara road crash

Three people have died and 51 others were injured in a freak accident involving three vehicles.
Kuresoi North Sub County Police Commander Judah Gathenge said that the accident happened in the Nyanja area in Kamara along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway at around 4 pm.
"We have unfortunately lost three people, 51 injured persons have been rushed to Londiani and Molo Hospitals," said Mr Gathenge.
The Sub-County Police boss said that among the fatalities were a male adult and two female minors, one aged seven months and another 10 years.

"The bus was moving uphill and developed mechanical issues. It moved into the lane of oncoming traffic and crashed with a trailer head-on before rolling and crashing a personal vehicle," said Mr Gathenge.
Benjamin Cheruiyot, an eyewitness said that they heard a loud bang and saw the bus rolling as passengers wailed in pain.
"We managed to retrieve the passengers. Over 20 of them had serious injuries," he said.
