Mwaura tops at Ruiru Chairman prize meet

On a sterling score of 43 stableford points, Salome Mwaura is the Ruiru Chairman (Peter Mwaura) 2022 prize overall winner.

Mwaura playing off handicap 20, had a great outing on the course picking 21 stableford points from her outward nine and an additional 22 stableford points from her inward nine to star over a field of 246 golfers who participated.

Six pars, two birdies, seven bogeys and three scratches were enough to present her with the memorable win.

In category 1 pitting players between handicap one and 16, Terra Saidimu playing off handicap 15, won the Men winner prize on a terrific score of 40 stableford points.

Handicap 14 John Njenga was Men winner second after edging out S Njuguna on countback after they both returned a similar score of 38 stableford points.

In category two of handicap 17 to 28, J Maigua posted a commendable score of 42 stableford points to win as Joseph Wambugu came in second with 40 stableford points.

Handicap 18, Lucy Kwendo bagged Lady Winner prize on a score of 40 stableford points.

Judy Nyambura was second with 39 stableford point as Pauline Mungai settled for Lady Winner third place upon returning 37 stableford points.

In the Nines; Paul Njeru won First Nine prize with 25 stableford points with Edward Karanja claiming Second Nine prize with 21 stableford points.

Away at Kitale Golf Club Kevin Nyaga carded a round of 41 stableford points to claim the Division One win of his home club’s leg of the 2022 NCBA Golf Series. 

He played two shots better than fellow clubmate, Emmanuel Omonya, who finished second in the category.
