Gor Mahia joins Tusker, AFC Leopards in FKF Cup Round 16

Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have became the latest Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League side to sail through to the 2021 FKF Cup Round of 16 after thrashing Division One side Cusco 5-0 in a one sided match played at Ruaraka grounds.

South Sudanese imports Tito Okello and in-form midfielder John Macharia each scored a brace before substitute Joachim Oluoch sealed the win late in the final half.

The win saw K'Ogalo join Kariobangi Sharks, AFC Leopards, Ulinzi Stars, Bandari, Bidco United, Tusker, KCB and Nairobi City Stars in the round of 16 to be played this weekend.

Gor set a date with Mara Sugar FC in the next round. Mara Sugar knocked out NYSA 2-0 in Migori earlier this week on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Kariobangi Sharks beat Division two side Tandaza FC 2-0 at the Utalii Grounds, while Twyford suffered a 7-0 loss at the hands of Bidco United.

In the second match of the Thika Stadium doubleheader, AFC Leopards knocked out Posta Rangers with a lone goal to secure their slot in the round of 16 fixtures.

The Premier League showdown at Wundanyi Stadium saw Ulinzi beat Sofapaka 2-0.

At Kinunga Stadium, Tusker beat Marafiki FC 4-1, with hosts Bandari sending Dimba Patriots packing after beating them 5-0.

On Saturday, Bidco United will host Egerton as Tusker entertain Luanda. Five more matches will be played on Sunday as Ingwe face Bungoma Super Stars, Ulinzi play City Stars, Bandari travel to face Sigalagala and KCB host Shraks.
