Gor Mahia win after visiting Mzee K'Ogalo's grave in Homa Bay

Brazilian Wilson Silva scored at the death as Gor Mahia claimed a crucial 2-1 win over 10-man Kakamega Homeboyz in a midweek FKF Premier League match played at the Bukhungu Stadium on Wednesday.
The defending champions fought from a goal down at halftime to secure a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Homeboyz.
South Sudan international Tito Okello equalised for the champions in the 56th minute of the game to cancel Chris Masinza's first-half strike before Sliva, who started his first match for the holders, struck in stoppage time to complete the comeback win.
The win sees Gor Mahia bounce back to winning ways a day after visiting Mzee K’Ogalo’s grave in Homa Bay.
According to reports, Gor’s did the ritual after losing their last two matches against Napsa Stars in the CAF Confederation Cup and Nzoia Sugar in the league.

Gor Mahia had not won a league match since January 31 when they edged coastal side Bandari 3-1 at Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa.
In the match, Chris Masinza’s strike early into the match sent the host at the break with a one-goal advantage before Gor Mahia hit back in the second half.
Substitute Tito Okello levelled the scores minutes after coming on the field before Brazilian Wilson Silva broke Homeboyz’s hearts and rescue what looked an unlikely three points for K’Ogalo.
Defeat means Homeboyz stay 13th, while the three points take Gor, who move into the top half, up to eighth, 13 points behind league leaders Tusker with three games in hand.
Homeboyz were quick out of the blocks at Bukhungu and they almost capitalised on some poor defending from Gor which allowed David Okoth to unleash a shot that could only hit the side netting.
Gor responded through John Macharia who saw a one on one effort clip the outside of the post after being denied by the hosts keeper Geoffrey Oputi.
Homeboyz would however take the lead against the run of play through Christopher Masinza who gave the home team the opening goal in the 12th minute.
In the second half, Vaz Pinto would bring in South Sudan’s striker Tito Okello for Clifton Miheso in the 54th minute in attempt to level the scores.
The former Vipers striker would repay his coach with an immediate impact from the bench after equalizing for Gor Mahia minutes after coming on. John Macharia found him with a beautiful pass outside the box.
Homeboyz’s mysteries worsened further when Thomas Wainaina was sent off after an ugly battle with Onyango, forcing them to play with 10-men for the remainder of the 17 minutes.
Brazilian striker Silva scored in the dying minutes of stoppage time to hand Gor their sixth win of the campaign and completing a massive 2-1 comeback win.
The win propels K'Ogalo to eighth on the log with 19 points after 11 matches.
