Mason Greenwood is running out of time to win a place in England's senior squad for this summer's Euros.
Manchester United forward Greenwood, 19, is seen as one of England's best prospects but is more likely to end up being part of the under-21s squad for their Euro Championships.
Greenwood has struggled to get regular starts for United in recent weeks and, despite starting at Chelsea, is facing strong competition for forward places for both club and country.
Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane are arguably England's first choice front three while the likes of Jadon Sancho, Danny Ings and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all in the frame and have been in form.
But the emergence of Mason Mount as a regular together with the competition of Jack Grealish and James Maddison mean that there will never have been more fierce competition for a place in Gareth Southgate's squad.

Arsenal's in-form Bukayo Saka is pushing hard to play at left wing back in the Euros this summer but his performances for his club may also strengthen his chances of playing in attack in the longer term.
Greenwood has also fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford giving him fewer chances to impress and has not made the senior squad since being sent home in disgrace from Iceland last year.
England boss Southgate left both Greenwood and Phil Foden out for one squad as punishment after the pair broke strict coronavirus lockdown rules after being pictured with girls at the team hotel.
Foden got back in last November and has been in superb form for Manchester City but Greenwood - who recently signed a new deal with United until 2025 - is going to have wait longer.
The under-21s tournament format is different this year with group matches being played in March - England face Portugal, Croatia and Switzerland - and the finals in June.
England under-21 boss Aidy Bothroyd faces a tough task and Greenwood is likely to be a key member of the squad at that level rather than with the seniors this summer.
