Harambee Starlets duo of Caroline Anyango and Wendy Achieng were on Sunday selected for random drugs tests by Confederation of African Football's anti-doping control unit.

This was immediately after Kenya's controversial 3-1 defeat to Ghana in their opening Group B match of the 2016 Women Africa Cup of Nations at the Limbe Omnisports Stadium.

The testing is part of Caf's initiative to fight use of banned substances among players in the competition now in its 10th edition.

Two players from each team are selected at random by the anti-doping control unit after matches since the tournament kicked off on Saturday.
