Harambee Starlets forward Mwanahalima Adam scored a brace as Thika Queens thrashed Kayole Starlets 7-0 at Thika Stadium on Saturday.

The win saw Thika Queens have maintained their place at the top of the Zone A of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women Premier League.

Fauzia Omar gave the hosts an early lead with a goal inside the 1st minute before her counterpart Lydia Wagenda doubles their lead in the 5th minute.

Mwanahalima Adam netted his first goal in the 21st minute that saw Queens take a comfortable 3-0 lead at the breather.

After the restart, it took the hosts 30 minutes to break through Kayole’s defense and when they did, Lucy Ikhumba and Wincaate Kinyua netted quick fire goals inside two minutes before Adams bagged his brace in the 85th minute to extend Queens lead to 6-0.

The hosts were not done yet and a Sarah Chalovu goal in added time saw Thika Queens thrash Kayole in the seven-goal thriller.

At Stima Club, visiting Ulinzi Starlets narrowly edged out Makolanders 1-0 to move up the standing of the Zone A standing.

Elsewhere, Kisumu All Starlets dropped to third place in Zone B after falling late to Trans Nzoia Falcons.

Martha Karani’s goal in the 93+ minute of added time saw the Falcons snatch all three points at the death.
