AFC: Rescue team for limping Leopards

Eager to help the club deal with its financial challenges, AFC Leopards have formed a rescue team to assist officials run the team. The rescue team held its first consultative meeting last evening at Nyayo Stadium. According to a member of the team, Fred Lutta, they have decided to assist club officials instead of criticising. “We want to do something about the situation and hopefully our efforts can assist the club financially,” he said.

SONY: Zico upbeat on team prospects

Sony Sugar coach Zedekiah Otieno has said the team is fully motivated after winning their season opener against Ulinzi Stars in Nakuru. Otieno has also said he is not surprised by the results as his team did not lose many players during the transfer period. "For us it is just a continuation from last season. We just lost one key players and hope to build on the season opener to do well in future," he said.

ULINZI: End stand off now, says coach Matano

Ulinzi Stars coach Robert Matano has called for an end in the stale-mate over the running of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL). Matano warned that players and coaches risk suffering if the matter is not resolved soon. "The livelihood of more than 500 players and coaches is at stake unless this issue is sorted out soon. We are beginning to feel the pinch and we are requesting all the parties to be considerate," he said. Matano has called on both the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and Football Kenya Federation (FKF) officials to be committed to resolving this.
