Sex in schools - why report on pregnant teens and STIs cases alarming

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

Though refuted as exaggerated, the report issued by the Ministry of Education officer in Kirinyaga Central sub-county that 75% of students were treated for STIs is alarming. Coupled with the fact that there are many pregnant teens sitting for national exams in both primary and secondary schools, it calls for a dialogue on sex in schools. Charles Otieno engages editors Francis Wanyonyi and Sammy Wambua on this sensitive subject. They also discuss the recent order by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to revoke licenses for nightclubs in residential areas. Enjoy and please share widely.
