This week, I have had Jackline Mwende for breakfast, lunch and dinner, thanks to the unending debate after she appeared on TV evidently pregnant. In case you haven't heard about her, consult uncle Google, 'he' has loads of information about her.

I'm happy Mwende has finally put to rest the gossip and the stigma associated with bareness. Mwende has proved those that might have thought she was barren wrong. No more evidence is needed, her baby bump has put this to rest. My worry though is where the ongoing debate will leave her and her baby. This is the kind of stuff you would never want your baby to come across.

As a mom, I would never want to be in her place as we can never depart from the fact that the baby she's carrying might one day stumble on the information behind his/her making. Imagine your son or daughter coming home one day with a thousand questions on some information they just found on the Internet about you?

After all that has been said so far, there is the school of thought that believes Mwende deserved what she got for 'cheating' but on the other hand we have the more liberal brigade that thinks a woman has to do what she has to, to save her marriage. The jury is still out there but who are we to judge? My only prayer is for the little young woman or man she's carrying to arrive safe when that time comes. Motherhood is a such a sweet journey and that's all we wish for Mwende.
