Homeboyz became the fourth different champion in the ongoing 2022 National Sevens Circuit after winning the Dala Sevens in Kisumu on last Sunday.
Amon Wamalwa, Leonard Mugaisi and Collins Shikoli struck for Homeboyz as Amos Onyinkwa and Beldad Ogeta touched down for Oilers who are now two-time unlucky after previously losing to Mwamba during the Driftwood Sevens two weeks ago.
The Deejays finished unbeaten in Kisumu after winning six of their six matches played at the new Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo located within the outskirts of the Lakeside City.
Homeboyz finished top of Group D which consisted of Kenya Harlequin, Zetech University and Catholic Monks.
They kicked off their day on Saturday with a 17-17 draw against a resilient Catholic Monks side before going on rampage by destroying Zetech Oaks 45-13 in their second match.
