Armed robbers on Monday night attacked Vincent Kiplang’at, a third-year art student at his rented residence in the outskirts of Maseno town.
The Campus Secretary in-charge of Sports and Entertainment at the Students Organisation of Maseno University (SOMU) was robbed and left with deep cuts alongside his roommate in the 2am incident.
SOMU Secretary General of Edwin Nyangwara says that some of the students are colluding with the locals to attack the perceived ‘rich’ students.
This comes as the University prepares to hold its 18th graduation ceremony tomorrow at Siriba Campus.
