Moi Airbase humble second Brigade in 2019 showpiece

Moi Airbase beat second Brigade 4-2 as the Chief of Defence Forces Championships entered Day Two at Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru, yesterday.
The victory saw them top Pool C with six points having drubbed Defence Forces Constables (DFC) 12-0 in their opening match on Monday. They were set to battle Kahawa Garrison last evening.
They required a draw against Kahawa Garrison, who lie second with four points from two matches, to secure a quarter final spot. Earlier, Kahawa Garrison were forced to a 1-1 draw against Range Regiment at the same venue.
In pool B matches at 3-Kenya Rifles, Kenya Navy Mtongwe secured a 1-0 win over Laikipia Airbase (Lab) having lost 3-1 to Artillery Brigade.
Artillery Brigade, who beat Kenya Navy Mtongwe 3-1, were walloped 8-0 by Eight Brigade, which is the only unbeaten side in the pool.

Eight Brigade takes on Kenya Navy Mtongwe in their second match this morning while Artillery Brigade will be up against Fourth Brigade in the second match at the same venue.
Sixth Brigade defeated Kenya Navy Manda 6-1 after a previous 1-1 draw against Armoured Brigade to stand second in Pool A with four points from two matches behind Armoured Brigade who maintained their winning streak with a 3-0 win over Engineers Brigade.
Armoured Brigade lead the group with six points from two matches and this morning, they take on Nairobi Garrison after a match between Engineers Brigade and Sixth Brigade at the same venue.
