Apple could be forced to supply the same phone charger as its rivals.
MEPs on a consumer protection committee voted in favour of microUSBs being made the industry standard.
It could mean a universal one-size-fits-all charger becoming the norm in Europe.
Apple continues to produce its own unique chargers which cannot be used in phones made by other companies.
The Californian tech firm has witnessed incredible sales of its new handsets, the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c, in recent weeks but there have also been concerns about the new iOS7 operating system with regards to its security and people complaining of motion sickness when using it.
