Imbwaga indicated that the police are investigating whether the suspect, identified only as Brian, who has since gone into hiding, had a romantic relationship with the deceased's sister.
"We suspect that the two may have quarreled after the deceased discovered the suspect's affair with his sister, as the suspect disappeared shortly after the incident," added the police commander.
He further stated that investigations are ongoing to establish the motive behind the killing. The body has been moved to Longisa County Referral Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
