A newborn baby was found alive dumped in a valley in Samburu County.
Yesterday’s discovery of the lucky infant shocked residents of Shabaa location in Samburu Central. It is not clear how long the baby was at the shallow hole before being found by herder Wanga Leleruk.
“I was herding my sheep and goats when I saw four dogs along the valley. I got suspicious and visited the place; I heard a baby crying and when I moved deep into the valley I saw a naked baby boy,” said Leleruk.
He informed his mother who took the infant to the police. The baby was later taken to Maralal Hospital.
