Can youths make better leaders than old guards?

Mr Jimi Wanjigi is right. The Kenyan political scene needs fresh blood devoid of ethnic kingpins; individuals with fresh ideas for our country.

For far too long, we have had the same faces dominating the national stage but we witness little or no change.

We are still plagued with massive graft in government, ethnicity, joblessness and insufficient social amenities like healthcare, schools, water and education, among others.

Further, with every regime consisting these same old folks, we keep witnessing blatant violation of basic human rights.

Right now, the same old politicians are luring us with theoretical economic models among other campaign propaganda.

In my view, the youth are better placed to take the mantle of Kenyan politics. Fresh political blood will divorce us from negative ethnicity, hatred and violence that has dominated politics.
