Five men charged with stealing a billboard

Five men (pictured) have been charged with stealing a billboard, footbridge and a gas cylinder stand.
Evans Erisi, Stephen Ouma, Musa Kiilu, Eddy Ouma and Joash Micah who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Winfrida Onkunya are purported to have stolen the billboard, footbridge and gas stand worth Sh100, 000, which belonged to the city council of Kisumu.
The four are said to have uprooted the billboard and the footbridge along Oginga Odinga Street, within Kisumu town on July 26.
They faced an alternative charge of being in possession of and handling stolen property.
According to court documents, Erisi, Stephen, Kiilu, Eddy and Micah were found in possession of the billboard, footbridge and a gas cylinder stand.

Erisi, Stephen, Kiilu, Eddy denied the charges while Micah pleaded guilty to have stolen the property and was detained at Kisumu Central Police Station awaiting to know his fate.
Erisi, Stephen, Kiilu, Eddy were released on a bond of Sh50, 000.
The case will be heard on August 19.
