NAIROBI: Online payments firm, 3G Direct Pay Ltd, has partnered with Cellulant, a mobile and digital payments provider, to enable customers in Africa to make online payments. This will be done through major credit, debit cards, PayPal and mobile money in a safe, reliable and secure, real-time system. Cellulant will provide connections to mobile money operators in Africa. 3G Direct Pay customers, on the other hand, will pay online via among others, M-Pesa, Airtel Money and MTN Mobile Money. 3G Direct Pay Managing Director Eran Feinstein noted that mobile payments in Africa have grown dramatically over the past few years. "We now want to expand into the rest of Africa and we are in a position to support the massive mobile money online payments across the continent. We have spent the past year growing relationships in Africa, so we can offer our clients substantial online payment capabilities," said Feinstein. Cellulant Co-Founder and Group CEO Ken Njoroge said the partnership would enable the firm to connect customers to a one-stop mobile payments service.
