The Bunge Fellowship and Parliament Choir would for five minutes between intervals entertain guests attending the National Prayer Breakfast at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.
Led by South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro and Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana, the choir performed common hymns such as the Amazing Grace, pulling the attendees to sing along.
However, the performance wasn't without theatrics.
Osoro, with a flair for the dramatics, would invite all lawmakers who can belt out a tune to join the weekly choir practice.
He would also explain why Majority Leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichungwah was not part of the bunge choir.

"Your Excellency, the only person we didn't allow in this practice is Kimani Ichungwah because he is gifted elsewhere. We realized that he moves faster than the beat," the MP joked, sending the room into laughter.
The choir then proceeded to showcase their 'prowess' before noticing there was an issue with the guitar.
"What is the problem with the guitar? (Mbona hamkutest), why didn't you test to see if it works first?" Osoro posed before confirming to the audience, "Everything is set. We are working on the instruments."
Attorney General Justin Muturi would later praise the choir's performance saying they have significantly improved.
"There is some slight improvement because it wasn't the same some years back. I must congratulate the new leadership of the prayer breakfast," Muturi noted.
Other key leaders who joined the Bunge Choir include Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris and Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi.
This is the 20th Prayer breakfast meeting, but the first that Ruto is attending as the Head of State.
