A fire broke out early Sunday morning at Embakasi Girls' School in Mukuru, Nairobi County.
The Kenya Red Cross confirmed the incident, stating that efforts to contain the blaze were ongoing, with emergency response teams swiftly deployed to the scene.

"Fire at Embakasi Girls' School, Nairobi County. Efforts to contain it are underway," the Kenya Red Cross posted on X.
Preliminary information indicates that one of the school's dormitories was affected by the fire, which began in the early hours of the morning.
The cause of the inferno is yet to be established.
