Daniel Juma Omondi has been appointed as the Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Regional Representative for Africa, effective 1st May 2025. Juma initially served as the Country director for GPF Kenya.
In a circular seen by the newsroom, and sent by the organization's Senior Vice President Mr. Aya Goto, Mr. Omondi will oversee the GPF field affiliates and activities in the region, and "he will also continue to serve as the Country Director of GPF Kenya. We expect that his new role will help further strategic development in the region".
He takes over from Father Canice Enyiaka's service as the outgoing Africa Regional Representative, who will continue leading the African Renaissance Initiative as a project of GPF in its headquarters.
This appointment is expected to significantly advance the organization's strategic development of peacebuilding efforts in the region.
Mr. Omondi has expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by the GPF leadership, the Foundation's Chairman, Dr. Hyun Jin Preston, and President Jim Flynn.
