MPs condemn fund boss removal

The Women Representatives Parliamentary caucus has condemned the sudden degazettement of National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) Chairperson Regina Ndambuki.

Speaking yesterday, 35 Women Representatives called for Ndambuki’s immediate reinstatement, and claiming that the move to remove her was politically instigated.

The degazettement was signed by Margaret Kobia, who is the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service and Gender.

Yesterday, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris said she saw the move against Ndambuki as malicious. “I have seen what Ndambuki has done for us Women Reps, and I feel disappointed by news of her removal,” she said. 

She added that Ndambuki had been on the forefront making sure that development proposals from Women Reps were executed and well-coordinated.
