Speaking after the win, Kisumu Day coach Booker Odhiambo said they are now preparing for the semis.
“I am impressed with the quality of hockey these young boys are playing and now we want to maintain the same tempo in the knock out stages. We are not yet done and now we have to get to the finals,” said Odhiambo.
Kisumu County will take two teams to the regionals courtesy of having a defending champion. Irrespective of Maseno School ouster, Kisumu will still take two teams to the regionals and qualifying to the finals of the hockey boys is crucial for the remaining teams.
