Three arrested over arson attack on Magunas Supermarket

Police in Meru have arrested three suspects linked to the torching of Magunas Supermarket during the Saba Saba protests held on July 7.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects - Ian Mugambi, Abdulatif Murithi, and Teddy Kaimenyi - were captured on CCTV footage looting the supermarket before setting it on fire.
The trio is also accused of breaking into and stealing from Selelite Supermarket and the Seven Eleven Lounge during the same unrest.
"A dark green motorcycle, believed to have been used during the attacks, was recovered during the arrests," DCI revealed.

The suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to be arraigned soon.
Detectives say investigations are ongoing to apprehend other individuals involved in the incident.
