Nicole Omondi, 25, is lucky to be alive today after she was allegedly pushed from the sixth floor of a building at Thome Estate in Kasarani on June 4, 2026.
What is, however, shocking is that four days after the attempted murder, the immediate Officer Commanding International House at City Centre, Agnes Ndanu, has not been arrested, raising questions about why she is untouchable.
No handcuffs, no cell, no charges, just silence from investigators and the Police Service as the probe drags on.

The officer remains free despite the gravity of the crime, and questions swirl around why detectives have not moved with the speed such a case demands.
Omondi's family is left seeking justice while Ndanu walks around without consequence, her status shielding her from accountability.
It is reported that Ndanu and Nicole were not only close friends but were frequently catching up over drinks in various liquor joints in the city and also in the officer's house where the incident occurred.
But on Saturday, around 8am, something strange happened: Ndanu allegedly pushed Nicole from the balcony of her house, located in the sixth floor, in a case that has also had investigators probing the case.
Nicole is currently fighting for her life at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), paralysed with severe spinal and limb injuries.
Witnesses say she is lucky to be alive today; when she fell, she landed on high razor wire that shielded her from hitting the wall surrounding the building.
On Wednesday, detectives at Kasarani Police Station confirmed that Ndanu was still free, noting that she was not hiding and that she had already recorded a statement regarding the incident.
“She is a police officer, and we cannot investigate her; as per the law, that is the work of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA). We are waiting for them to take over the case. She is still a police officer on payroll, and we know where to get her," said Aloyce Mboya, Kasarani Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer (SCCIO).
Mboya further added that once Nicole records her statement, the case will be handed over to IPOA to recommend the possible charges in the case.
The Standard established that a team had been dispatched to Kenyatta National Hospital to record a statement from the victim.
Speaking from her hospital bed at the Kenyatta National Hospital, Nicole narrated that on the material day they were in the house with Ndanu when the officer levelled some allegations on her.
"She started accusing me that another lady was seducing me and all of a sudden she became violent and started beating me as she pushed me out of the house," Nicole claimed.
Following the heated argument, it is reported that Ndanu managed to bundle Nicole out and within a fraction of a second, the neighbourhood heard loud screams from Nicole.
This was after she landed on the iron sheet roof on the ground floor and on the razor wire that saved her from hitting the hard floor.
Her sister, Annette Omondi, claimed that before the fall, Ndanu had assaulted Nicole and that at some point, she was hit on the head using a glass bottle.
"At some point, she managed to call my father, but Ndanu answered the phone and told him she was 'disciplining' Nicole," Annette said.
The sister said that after the incident, the house was strewn with broken bottles, including in the bedroom where it was found that Nicole's bed was soaked in blood.
According to sources at Central Police Station where Ndanu worked previously, she had served for only one month between April and May 2026.
However, Ndanu was transferred to Matungulu police station in May 2026, but she had not yet moved in until the incident resurfaced.
The source added that the officer rose through the ranks owing to her family background, adding that her father was a police commandant but is no longer in the service.
"She was attached at International Life police post until May, but her character was questionable; she was battling alcoholism. I think she was given the station to keep her busy," a source said.
Adding, "The transfer came as a demotion because she was directed to go be staff officer; in fact, a release letter was written and was handed over to her. She has been in the service for about 10 years.”
Neighbours at Thome estate where Ndanu resides described the two as close friends who used to hang out together mostly during the weekends.
"They were close friends, and we knew them very well; sometimes we could see them checking in while tipsy," a neighbour shared.
