Police arrest suspected drug trafficker in Mombasa

Police officers in Mombasa have arrested a suspected drug trafficker and seized heroin worth Sh500,000.
In a statement, NPS stated that the suspect was nabbed at a house in Kisauni where money, both in Kenyan shillings and US dollars, was also found.
"NPS Officers in Mombasa on Saturday, April 13 recovered suspected narcotic drugs (Heroin) weighing 169.18 grams with an estimated market price of Sh507,540; cash of Sh1,327,300 and $3,610 and four mobile phones," read the statement in part.
The suspect is said to be a notorious drug trafficker who conducts his operations within the Magorodoni and Arusin areas of Kisauni Constituency.
He is also alleged to have been using school-going girls as well as his relatives to do the distribution.

His two wives are also said to be part of the business, acting as custodians of the drugs. They were previously arrested for possession of "hard drugs" and have ongoing cases in court.
