Five Coast legislators have supported calls for joint nomination by the National Super Alliance (NASA) affiliate parties for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat.
They said NASA should field one candidate to face Jubilee’s Suleiman Shahbal and warned that it will be a mistake for each party to field its own candidate.
The legislators Rashid Bedzimba (Kisauni), Badi Twalib (Jomvu), Abdulswamad Nassir (Mvita), Mishi Mboko (Mombasa Woman Representative) and Hassan Mwanyoa (Matuga) said those opposed to joint nomination were scared of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
