The National Assembly Thursday adopted the report of Committee on Administration and national security report rejecting nomination of Monica Juma as Secretary to the Cabinet.
Earlier in the day, 15 MPs from Ukambani had faulted the Administration Committee for rejecting Juma’s nomination as Secretary to Cabinet, saying her rejection was based on "jealousy, rumors and hatred".
They further claimed that it is a systematic marginalisation of the community from by Jubilee administration.
In a news conference, the legislators led by Kibwezi West MP Francis Nyenze, vowed to marshal their colleagues to amend the report and ensure that Monica is confirmed as the Secretary to the Cabinet.
The MPs were from both sides of the House.
