Heavy downpour in Mombasa renders roads impassable

Activities in Mombasa County are at a standstill following heavy downpours on Friday night, well into Saturday morning.
The Standard has learnt that the Kibarani area in Mombasa is entirely impassable, as roads are flooded.
There is heavy traffic on the Mombasa- Changamwe highway due to flooded roads.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternative routes.
The rains began on Friday and continued throughout the night.
