Bank of Africa Kenya has appointed Ronald Marambii as its new Managing Director. Mr Marambii becomes the first Kenyan to hold that position in the bank replacing Mr Anis Kaddouri, Moroccan whose term expired in September 2015. His appointment took effect on November 1, 2015 after certification by Central Bank of Kenya.
The son of the late National Bank of Kenya CEO Reuben Marambii is not new to Bank of Africa. He worked at Credit Agricole between 2002 and 2004 and when this financial institution was taken over by Bank of Africa Group in 2004, he continued working with the Kenyan arm until 2011. He held various capacities including the Head of Credit and Head of Operations.
In 2011, he was appointed the lender’s Ghana unit deputy managing director. He was then appointed Managing Director of Bank of Africa Uganda where he served for one and a half years.
