I'm still alive- Mr Nice dismisses death rumours

On December 13, EastAfrica.com website sensationally claimed that Tanzanian-Kenya based musician Mr Nice was dead.

A few hours later, it turned out to be just a rumour after the musician took to Instagram to assure his fans that he was alive and well.

“Sometimes, to be silent is a good answer to fool people. You keep praying for bad things to befall me, but it won’t happen. I don’t know where I went wrong with you but I pray to God that He blesses you with wisdom,” he wrote.

The reports come a year after the popular singer, who has been trying to restart his music career after a five-year hiatus, was poisoned by unknown people.

Mr Nice, whose food and drinks were poisoned in a hotel, said the incident shocked him and for days, he could not explain to the media what actually transpired.

“I did not want to speak to the media as this thing was traumatic. My priority was to secure my life. I have been thinking hard, trying to connect the dots about what really happened... I don’t really know if this was a deliberate move by a rival and in that case who really wanted me dead,” he said.
