Kenyan men failed to break the jinx after General Service Unit (GSU) became the second and last team from the country to fail to go past group stage in the 2014 CAVB African Club Championships in Sousse, Tunisia.

Teams from North Africa-Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya-were too mean to the rest of the continent as they shared the eight quarter-finals slots amongst themselves. The Ruaraka-based paramilitary men succumbed to 0-3 (15-15, 14-25, 21-25) against hosts Esperance in a Pool ‘C’ tie to end their dream of playing in the quarters.
