Two players have been dropped from the national women beach volleyball team that started its residential training yesterday in Mombasa in readiness for the second phase of Africa women beach volleyball Olympic qualifiers in Nigeria. National women team coach Sammy Mulinge axed Betty Sifuna of Kenya Pipeline and KCB’s Mildred Cherop. The two players were in camp for the first round in Mombasa but did not make it to Tanzania for the qualifiers. Mulinge said the duo’s employers have declined to release them to join the rest of the team in Mombasa for training before the team departs for Abuja next month.
