Kenya Volleyball Federation League men’s champions Prisons Kenya left the country yesterday morning for this month’s African Club Championship in Tunis, Tunisia.

The continental show-piece that serves off tomorrow has attracted a record 28 teams across the continent.

Prisons, who missed last year’s edition due to lack of funds, will be Kenya’s only representative at the ten-day competition after General Service Unit withdrew.

Coach Gideon Chenje will bank on the services of experienced right attacker Ibrahim Oduor and 2016 most valuable player Jairus Bett.

“We have prepared well and everybody is ready for the tournament. We have a good mix of experienced and young players eager to deliver,” said Chenje before departure.
