HANDBALL: NCPB stun Wote Fathers in Makueni Open Tournament

National Cereals and Produce Board Board (NCPB) defeated Wote Fathers 22-15 as the Makueni Open Handball tournament started at Unoa Primary School Grounds yesterday.

 NCPB’s Cylus Muhandi emerged the top scorer of the match with six goals while his team mate John Wante scored four against his name.

Brian Mandela and Ernest Onyango scored four goals respectively as top scorers for Wote Fathers. In another match at the same venue, Wote Technical Training Institute suffered a 10-12 defeat from National Youth Service (NYS) while Wote Queens defeated NYS 8-6 in the women’s category.

The two-day tournament attracted six men’s teams, four women’s teams, 10 secondary schools and five primary schools.
