Manchester United are closing in on Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan and reportedly hope to have the deal done by the end of this weekend.

According to reports, a transfer fee for the player is yet to be formally agreed between United and Borussia Dortmund, but a figure around the £26million mark is likely.

Mkhitaryan has just one year remaining on his contract at Dortmund and is set to become Jose Mourinho's third summer signing after the arrivals of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 27-year-old Mkhitaryan scored 23 times and notched 32 assists for Dortmund last season.
