Nollywood stars Mike Ezuruonye  and Angela Okori are in the country to shoot a movie. But what is work without play?

The actors who are being hosted by former Miss Kenya, Juliet Ochieng, were spotted at city businesswoman-turned-politician Millicent Omanga’s daughters’ birthday.

The invite-only party, for Millicent’s six-year-old daughter was held at her home in Lavington.

Speaking to Heads Up, she said; “As a businesswoman and a mother, my strength comes from working with the youth and creating opportunities for everyone. I decided to host a number of friends at my place during my daughter Maya’s sixth birthday. But this was not your ordinary kind of birthday bash. The kids got to party and celebrate together irrespective of their ethnicity, social class and backgrounds,” she said.

She added that, “I am looking at how to make good use of the booming Nigerian film industry to help nurture young men and women in Kenya, like the raw local talents from high school drama festivals. We have already started discussions and we are in talks with various Nollywood film producers and actors.”

Mugo Kebati spoke on behalf of the corporate world while Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria represented the political class.

This is not the first time Millicent has hosted a lavish party. Last year, she blew Sh4 million to treat 150 guests at the members-only exclusive Capital Club in Westlands.

The reserved Capital Club’s basement parking was full of sleek cars and guests who arrived in taxis were later chauffeured home in three Mercedes Benz saloon cars.
