The nominees will be announced on Tuesday evening

This year’s Groove Awards nominees will be unveiled tomorrow at a high-profile red carpet event at the Kenya National Theatre.

This follows a three-month nomination and vetting exercise that involved 250 Groove Academy members representing various industry facets countrywide. “It has been an intensive and extensive exercise but we are grateful for the support and co-operation we’ve received from the academy and Groove panel. We are very excited about unveiling the nominees for this edition, which has seen interesting new entries as well as a new category – Afro Pop – introduced to celebrate a new gospel sound,” said Kevin Mulei, Groove Awards founder.

He added: “Artists have worked hard to spread the Gospel, and it is fitting that we recognise them as they propel the industry forward.”

Groove Awards with Safaricom are the premier gospel music awards in Kenya.
