An A- line silhouette is usually narrower at the top, flaring wider towards the bottom thereby resembling the letter A. It's one of the most versatile styles as it works well on all figure types. This particular cut is so polished it can be worn for both day and night. Not convinced? Here are a few styles and tips that will have you saying yes to an A-line dress.

If you lack the curves for an A line bring more emphasis and attention to the waist by wearing a belt.

Try wearing your hair up. A ponytail, bun or chignon or any kind of up do makes your look more polished and neat thus it draws attention to the waist.

If you are petit and want to look a few inches taller, try one that hits above the knee, put on high heels to maximize the elongating effect.
